It’s time to elevate... It’s time to stop the hate
And change or fates... Before it’s too late

When I look out my window, what do I see ?
Death, destruction and poverty
And It bothers me, so I easily
Can change my perception of reality
But that’s a cop out, when you and me
Know what the world should really be
It’s not difficult for us believe
That what we want can be achieved

Starting with peace in the middle east
But what about the streets in our cities
Litter, we walk on at our feet
And blood flowing through them endlessly
We don’t have neighbors, we have enemies
With death and disease in our communities
No unity but adversity
And that’s why I wrote this verse you see...

It’s time to elevate... It’s time to stop the hate
And change or fates... Before it’s too late

How many people shall starve today
Because of the food that we throw away ?
how much money do we have to pay
Before we truly get to have a say ?
In foreign policy, cause it bothers me
How we don’t have a war on poverty
While I hear homeless people begging me
As I beg to see, a brand new legacy

And with hesitancy, it makes me real ill
How many clothes go to the “Goodwill”
That thrift stores flip to make a dollar bill
While the unclothed, stay naked still
Capitalism even in the church
How much is saving a soul really worth ?
How many millions go to doing dirt
While people still hurt, so we’ve got to do work...

It’s time to elevate... It’s time to stop the hate
And change or fates... Before it’s too late


Now, though there’s confusion, there’s a solution
Everybody has to step up to make a contribution
Then we won’t have to create an illusion
We can end Global Warming and the pollution
Cause for Fossil Fuels there is a solution
But it’s gonna take a U.N. resolution
Not just hoping and trusting evolution
We need an immediate revolution

And that even means inside our institutions
To create more Einsteins and Issac Newtons
And give birth to a world where nobody’s shootin
And nobody’s without, so nobody’s lootin’
And nobody’s sick cause their eating fruit and
There’s no more prisons nor executions
It’s not a delusion, it’s my conclusion
Just imagine a world without exclusions...
