RUN & TELL YO MAMMA...(WE VOTIN’ FOR OBAMA)
CHORUS (2X): RUN AND TELL YO MAMMA
WE VOTIN’ FOR OBAMA
WE TRYING TO END THE DRAMA
SO WE VOTIN’ FOR OBAMA
See, it started in Springfield
And from that point it was all up hill
All the cynics and pundits thought it was a fad
And HILLARY had this election in the bag
So, we started at the bottom, grassroots
And on the internet, with the youth
And on college campuses, with the students
And all of a sudden, it became a movement
BARACK was just so authentic
And the world reckognized, it wasn’t a gimmic
Though many people were looking at him strange
When he started talking about bringing change
And people started coming out to vote
And reading his book “THE AUDACITY OF HOPE”
Just one of two that he has wrote
And “DREAMS OF MY FATHER” was also dope
And for them he’s won two grammy awards
But people dug the fact he was against the war
When it was something HILLARY voted for
And it was a fact that couldn’t be ignored
It was judgement, at the right moment
But back then, he didn’t know it
He just followed his heart, not what they were selling
And now in every city, everybody’s yelling...
CHORUS (2X): RUN AND TELL YO MAMMA
WE VOTIN’ FOR OBAMA
WE TRYING TO END THE DRAMA
SO WE VOTIN’ FOR OBAMA
So, the first victory was in IOWA
No denying ya’ll, cause I was a
Virgin voter, it was my first time
Doing anything along political lines
Fine, it was new, but it turned out great
Cause he won one of the whitest states
And by the time, he got to his first debate
Even the pundits, just couldn’t wait
To see, he, with positivity
Be, calm and cool, while MS. HILLARY
Attacked and hacked sarcastically
With negativity, while gymnastically
He flipped over all of her blows
And said he’d love to talk to our foes
But why she got bitter, nobody knows
Jealousy and hatred, I suppose
But he kept his composure, got exposure
And came out on top when it was over
While she tried every dirty trick in the book
Lying & cheating, but still got shook
And her contributions started slowing
And the OBAMA campaign kept on growing
While not taking PAC money, he wasn’t hoeing
But, all across the country, people were going...
CHORUS (2X): RUN AND TELL YO MAMMA
WE VOTIN’ FOR OBAMA
WE TRYING TO END THE DRAMA
SO WE VOTIN’ FOR OBAMA
Now this is for those who were sincere
And without fear, decided we would volunteer
Yo, the campaign was really bananas !!!
As we were trying to phone canvas
And taking lists and going door to door
Asking people who they were voting for
And sometimes, we’d get ignored
But it was the bomb, how many votes we scored
Saying AMERICA is our residence
And it’s time for a brand new president
And it’s all about love not about hate
So, vote for OBAMA and we’ll be straight
And some would hesitate, but they knew the truth
And couldn’t resist when they saw the youth
And then saw the old, who were very bold
And also saw the mama’s out there for OBAMA
And we even had REPUBLICANS
Switching parties and lovin’ him
While setting up tables and chairs at rallies
Getting people’s info and keeping tallies
And registering people to vote
And having study groups on “THE AUDACITY OF HOPE”
E-mail blasting, we’re everlasting
And posing questions, that needed askin’
Working and working, Tirelessly
To get BARACK to the presidency
And most volunteers were working for free
So we came up with things artistically
To make sure that we were able to eat
And survive financially
Using all of our abilities
To crearte OBAMA SWAG with agility
While increasing the visibility
Yet doing it with humility
Cause most of us weren’t making nothin’
But gave up our lives, to do a lil’ something
But still had bills, yo I ain’t bluffin
So we started making T-shirts and buttons
Bags and bracelets, cause yo face it
The campaign gear needed a facelift
And product placement, so in our basements
We made stuff, better than what they sent
Dang, we weren’t capitalists
Just creative supporters, who were activists
Making people hyped up and making things happen
While singing, chanting and freestyle rappin’
And keeping it live, while volunteering
And constantly hearing, the supporters cheering...
CHORUS (2X): RUN AND TELL YO MAMMA
WE VOTIN’ FOR OBAMA
WE TRYING TO END THE DRAMA
SO WE VOTIN’ FOR OBAMA

FREE THE JENA 6

FREE THE JENA SIX
If you don’t learn from the past, then you must repeat it
And it seems like some of us have become so conceited
We’ve got alot of money, so we feel unity’s not needed
But psychologically, we have been defeated
If you say “we’re free”, I’ll say “watch your mouth”
Cause we’re still getting lynched in the north and south
Not like the old days, we ain’t swinging from a tree
Its in the courtrooms and boardrooms ya see
Now down south in a city, Jena, Louisiana
It’s like in the fifties in Birmingham, Alabama
So like P.E., we’ve got to... BRING THE NOISE
About these brothas getting treated like the Scotsborough Boys
All because they sat under a quote unquote white tree
And stood up and fought back with dignity
The white students at the school and the administrators
The police and D.A. were all a bunch of haters
A fist fight ensued and one white boy pulled a gun
Yet 6 brothas got arrested, but not even one
Of the caucasians, were put in that situation
Cause as you and me know, it’s modern day Jim Crow
So they’re stuck in jail, with no chance for bail
And one has been convicted and it’s a living hell
While all of his peers and parents are in tears
And he’s about to be sentenced to 22 years...
SO IF YOU ROLLIN IN YOUR CAR AND GOT THIS IN YOUR MIX, SAY:
FREE THE JENA SIX !!!
JUST PUT YOUR HAND IN THE AIR WITH A BALLED UP FIST, AND SAY:
FREE THE JENA SIX !!!
CAUSE THIS IS ABOUT ALOT MORE THAN JUST POLITICS, SO SAY:
FREE THE JENA SIX !!!
CAUSE THESE DEVILS ARE STILL UP TO THIER SAME OLD TRICKS, SO SAY:
FREE THE JENA SIX !!!
Sistahs and brothas, fathers and mothers
Intelligent people of all colors
We shouldn’t even have to discuss this
No matter what the race, is is injustice
If it can happen to us, it can happen to you
I’m talking to the mexican, asian and the jew
And you won’t hear about it on the news
If you ain’t got no money, so don’t be confused
We rollin’ deep and ain’t no stoppin’
Damn... I wish we still had Johnny Cochran
They cut the white tree down, now how that sound ?
When they found, that real brothas are coming to town
For Micheal Bell and the other five...
To show that the movement has been revived
Divided we fall, but together we stand
And ain’t nobody scared of the KLU KLUX KLAN...
This is a special shout out to all of the brothas and sistahs in Jena, Louisiana...
Micheal Bells mom and dad and the families of the other five young brothas
The Micheal Basden Show, George Wilborn, Ilyana Vanzant, Tom Joyner, Steve Harvey
And everyone elsewho’s willing to march and chant...
Cause we’ve got to show em who we are, all of them “Hicks”, living in the stix
They straight up sick, and need to be handled quick....so FREE THE JENA SIX !!!
DARE TO STRUGGLE, DARE TO WIN !!!
LET’S SING IT ONE MORE ‘GIN...

KATRINA vs. Willie Lynch
(SPOKEN WORD VERS.)
Now what I’m about to say may be controversial
But hell, I’m TONY B. CONSCIOUS and the truth ain’t never been commercial
I’ve though about it, raked my mind and I’m thorroughly convinced
It took a sistah like KATRINA to bring down WILLIE LYNCH...
COMING IN LIKE A WHIRLWIND, ancestors once made a vow
Following the slave routes, I see GARVEY smiling right now
NEGROES, NIGGAHS, HANKERCHIEFS and even SELLOUTS
United finally when the bottom of the country fell out
Can you imagine CHUCK D and PAUL MOONEY on t.v. with CONGALEEZ
LIL JOHN, MARY J, STEVE HARVEY, MONIQUE AND QUEEN LATIF
Some so disconnected to what our ancestors lost
Now can feel and experience exactly what it cost
She came and swatted shit out the air, like the racket of SERENA
So some of us can truly feel and empathize with sistah KATRINA
And I know you may not overstand, but I’m truly convinced
It took a sistah like KATRINA, to bring down WILLIE LYNCH...
No more coonin’, competing, ballin’ nor bling, blingin’
I seen hardcore rappers, gospel preachers, lawyers and teachers, crying and singing
U-N-I-T-Y right before our eyes
It took a castrophe to make the deaf, dumb and blind realize
We’ve been in trouble, but I must confess
The Universal Laws of Karma put our hearts to the test
Hopefully this will light up the Uncle Toms
Can You imagine 1.5 million given back by VIACOM
B.E.T., WALT DISNEY, and TOMMY HILFIGURE
Corporate, Middle Class, and bourgie house niggahs
All cohesive and solid, like dried cement
Finally reckognizing what we meant to this government
And president, what ? you thought we was residents ?
Trusting in them ? Nah cat , we should’ve been hesitant !!!
But “like a whirlwind, I’ll be back...” Garvey said
“And all Africans will unite...” But he sent KATRINA instead
Sleeping in thier own feces, no water, nor food
No medical attention, no clothing nor shoes
That’s roots again, But most don’t even see it
So those who fail to learn from the past, are destined to repeat it
American History never told of our misery
The reconstruction and its true function
They lynchings, the rapes, being thrown in the back of chevys
YO !!! I heard in New Orleans, the police blew up the levys
Genocide,,, for black pride will you kill for the cause ?
Shoot at helicopters ? Like a real Hiphoppa ?
S.O.S, save ourselves, cause divide and conquer’s a past tense
And it took a sistah like Katrina, to kill WILLIE LYNCH...
UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDE WE FALL
So pick up the phone, when your people call
The African Holocaust revisited, but the words don’t describe
The pain, the misery and anguish, of all the people who’ve died
The shootings, the lootings, the killing and the stealing
The drownings and the frowning at the media clownin’
FEMA, the National Guard, praying to guard
Experiencing living hard, souls bruised and scarred
The Veil has been lifted, paradigm has been shifted
Even those artistically gifted, know who they need to get with
But it takes a cotastrophe, for us to see
That we about 400 years late on Black Unity
But we got it for right now, and ain’t nobody riding the fence
Cause it took a sistah like KATRINA to take out WILLIE LYNCH...
(SO LET’S SEE HOW LONG IT LASTS...)
|
||||
4. |
||||
KATRINA vs. WILLIE LYNCH
Now I know to alot of ya’ll this may not make sense
But it took a sistah like KATRINA to kill WILLIE LYNCH
Though most people were like”YO! that’s in the past tense
And the corporate house niggahs couldn’t be convinced
And the Black politicians were just riding the fence
While the lawyers and the Judges needed evidence
I swear by the ancestors she was heaven sent
Cause our people been acting different like every since
Worse than IRAQ, man who dropped the bomb ?
This is the Gulf Coast, but it looks like Vietnam
Waking the whole world with a storm, but no calm
And I even seen tears on the cheeks of the “Uncle Toms”
Mississippi, Houston and Louisiana
A little west of Atlanta, Just past Alabama
Predominantly Black folks, Grandads and Grandmas
It aint even Christmas , buts we playin Santa
Cause the Superdome became a Slave ship or Goree Island
While Congress and FEMA were steadily denyin’
And the whit media just kept lyin and lyin’
While black people were just drowning and dying
So the Mayor Ray became Frederick Douglas
And Kanye, had to say, “George Bush, he don’t love us...”
But I know that God looms somewhere up above us
So the people of the South they just had to trust us
And it happened like Bruce Lee, unity kicked in
And we sent clothes, U Haul trucks and dividends
Cause we got offended when we watched CNN
AND SAW THE GOVERNMENT NEGLECTING US DUE TO OUR SKIN
And man, even Congaleeza couldn’t pretend
She didn’t feel our plight was real, deep within
Cause Garvey said he’d be back in a whirlwind
And he’d unite all the boys, girls, women and men
So now the whole world is watching us in suspense
While the situation down south is getting intense
And it took a catastrophe for some to get the hint
We need to unify, despite WILLIE LYNCH...
Cause our people been acting different like every since
FARRAKHAN, MARCUS, and MALCOLM tried to tell em
We treated the worst and almost cursed in the anti bellum
South, where they used to buy em and sell em’
And should’ve known in a crisis this government would fail em’
So for once, all the athletes and entertainers
Saw that helping our own was truly a no brainer
From Oprah to MJ and what’s even stranger
They’re all away with no cribs no beds and no mangers
Conditions desolate, sleeping in their feces
Bacteria growing, and showing it ain’t easy
And anybody who wasn’t tossed by our holocaust
Got to see first hand just what we’ve lost
We’ve paid the cost, and folks see the situation
The most despised, yet recognized race in this nation
The whites were victims, Blacks were thieves
Whites were in need and we were refugees
Whites were surviving, blacks were lootin’
Whites they were saving, blacks they were shootin’
Blatant discrepancies on your T.V.
So we had to all kick in on B.E.T.
We had to scream genocide, cause can’t you see
Their true feelings are being shown globally
And the dirty south truly needed a good rinse
Cause confederates and rednecks still have no sense
The loved us dead, before the civil war and every since
While JIM CROW, still shows so we had to invent
More unity, despite all that we’ve been through
Cause New Orleans is the birthplace and home of the blues
Mardi Gras, Gumbo, Benieghs and JUJU
Spiritual power that’ll see us through, like Eve’s Bayou
So for all ya’ll asleep, let this be a pinch
And WAKE UP!!! DESPITE WILLIE LYNCH...
Cause our people been acting different like every since
I had to drop this on a track, cause yes, I’m a griot
For all my brothas and sistahs blacks and creos
I guess I’ve got to be the one like JET LEI or Neo
Making you see yo, it ain’t about me though
Divided we’ve fell, together we must stand
Cause White folks is trying to intimidate Blacks off their land
Blew up the levies and didn’t even tell us
And the politics are heavy, so FEMA straight failed us
Like Noah’s flood, man we swimming in blood
Ain’t even got no huts, man we livin’ in mud
So all the Hiphoppas, artistic sharecroppers
Need to do like “Biker boys and jump on some choppers
Fuck the bling, bling, spinners are underwater
Escalades are gone and that Ice you just bought her
We sending knock off purses, shoes, pants and cash
S.O.S, save ourselves, we gots to do that fast
Everyday our folks down south are being neglected
But what about the outskirt parishes affected
No cameras, no help, they don’t give a what
Little boys and girls hungry and everybody’s stuck
Juneteenth “ nah we ain’t emancipated
Just under educated, but some think we made it
Pull together, help your own and if your smart
Volunteer, there or here, and earn that purple heart
The French Quarter seems more like a Canadian dime
They only thinking about theirs, not yours and mine
All the wards are gone, now ain’t that a sign
It was prophecy fulfilled on August 29th
Bring body oils, black soap and Shea butter
Cause all they belongings and lives is in the gutter
And like GARVEY said, “let the healing commence”
Unity and strength in numbers, despite WILLIE LYNCH...

I AM TROY DAVIS
04:40
|
|||
I AM TROY DAVIS
Here we go again, Heaven Help us
Somebody Save us and Free Troy Davis
Texas, Louisiana, Alabama
Mississippi, Florida or Georgia in Atlanta
Naw this happened in a city called Savannah
Where people call it racist and even Demand a
Brand New Trial, As crackas smile
And they lynched us for years, check out the files
Is TROY DAVIS another victim Ya’ll ???
Set up and convicted like Mumia Abu Jamal
Yes... Even the witnesses recanted thier statements
The Jurors want to change the verdict that they created
The city hates it, still segregated
But You know Justice has to be debated
No execution...Use what god gave us
So we pray, for a stay, for TROY DAVIS
I am Troy Davis... You Are Troy Davis...We Are Troy Davis
20 years ago, when he was a boy
Leaving a pool hall was a kid named troy
Gets down the street, past the parking Lot
And a cop, in the lot, gets popped, gets shot
But the number one suspect, knows the game
Blame it on a nigger, so he drops TROY’s name...
The police Department goes along with the plot
A pastor brought him back, he was never caught
There was only ONE Troy, so he was on the News
But the pastor Never gets interviewed
The Main suspec Sylvester Cole
Lied and instantly stole TROY’s SOUL
SO THE POLICE PRESSURE WITNESSES
MAKING THEM LIE
Cause when Cops get killed, Black People Die
Even though most of the Witnesses were hesitant
They Prosecuted TROY with no physical Evidence...
I am Troy Davis... You Are Troy Davis...We Are Troy Davis
Being Black in America is oh so real
The Supreme Court denied his final appeal
Like Shaka Sankofa, yo beofre it’s over
We’ve got to show ya, That justice don’t know a
Slavery Decendant who was intended
To Build the Country and Never be commended
So you do the math, look at the blood bath
Blind is the system where judges just Laugh
This is the 4th death warrant signed and it’s true
It was condemned by the POPE and DESMOND TUTU
Jimmy Carter and All Over the world
I AM TROY DAVIS is what boys and girls
Stand, Scream, Cry and Even Curse
We want freedom and Justice, cause this ain’t the first
And won’t be the last, So I spit this verse
And say we’ve only got till September 21st
(To Save Troy Davis...so let’s free troy Davis)
I am Troy Davis... You Are Troy Davis...We Are Troy Davis
Like Amy Goodman, We all make a Vow
Freedom, Justice and DEMOCRACY NOW !!!

OCCUPY WALL STREET, OCCUPY L.A.
Mic Check, Mic Check
Can I get a Mic Check, Mic check...
Where do I start? For the People who are smart
It comes from the heart, protest is an Art
99 problems and Wall Street is number one
But I don’t need violence, a bomb or a gun
The Revolution is Live and won’t be televised
So, now we take a stand and we ALL occupy
Cause Everybody got a problem with the government
And Most of us represent the 99 percent
So, we sleeping outside in our tents
In each and every city we will commence
Even If we get arrested and it gets intense
Aint nobody out here riding the fence
So we Occupy Wall Street, and Occupy L.A
We occupy All streets in every city, Everyday
We are the 99 percent and we want our government Back
From All of the corporations and this is how we attack
It’s spreading like the flu, but they deny it
Now we’re waiting on you, cause I don’t buy it
The fact they claim we can’t become united
For, the politicians have kept us all divided
So we’re doing it for the students, unions and the pilots
The vets and the homeless who want to start a riot
The Army Moms and the Unemployed
While the one percent continue to make us annoyed
The middle class is suffering and we’ve discovered
We’re all sistahs and brothas, no matter our colors
Or sexual orientations
The Black, Brown, Red and White or Caucasians
Artists, Dancers, Drummers, Musicians
Teachers, Professors and Nurses on a Mission
Until our Government and Wall Street Listens
We’re raising our voices, with signs and fists and...
So we Occupy Wall Street, and Occupy L.A
We occupy All streets in every city, Everyday
We are the 99 percent and we want our government Back
From All of the corporations and this is how we attack
No more corporate greed, In this democracy
Money spent on War, could do so much more
People over profits, Think about the planet
As our Government, continues to take us for granted
The corrupt... They fear us, The honest... support us
The Heroic..join us but the Media ignore us
125 cities, All in unison...
Power to the people, Food not bombs
No more hate, no more division
No more Poverty, No more prisons
No more Bankers getting bailed out
No more politicians who sell us out
No more lies, no more deciet
No more fat cats, while some can’t eat
No more disempowerment, no more defeat
So now we the people, occupy the streets
So we Occupy Wall Street, and Occupy L.A
We occupy All streets in every city, Everyday
We are the 99 percent and we want our government Back
From All of the corporations and this is how we attack

99 Percent
05:17
|
|||
99 Percent
99 Percent are in bad situations
Cause 99 Percent can’t afford Higher Education
99 Percent are victims of discrimination
And 99 Percent are targeted for incarceration
Now 99 percent don’t get properly represented
So 99 Percent always end up getting convicted
And 99 percent are on Death Row to be executed
But 99 percent are innocent and didn’t even do it
So the 99 Percent, who are suppossed to be protected by the constitution
Are the 99 Percent that have also made contributions
So the 99 Percent are all about finding solutions
And the 99 Percent are standing up... Cause we want a REVOLUTION
Now 99 Percent some say are TOO BIG TO FAIL
But the 99 Percent aint really doing that well
Cause 99 Percent are victims of “DON’T ASK, DON’T TELL”
And 99 Percent feel like America is a living Hell
Cause 99 Percent Can’t afford adequate Health Care
But the 99 Percent really just want their share
Cause the 99 Percent are over taxed and under paid
And the 99 percent just wanna keep some of the money they made
So the 99 Percent, that are suppossed to be protected by the constitution
Are the 99 Percent that have also made contributions
So the 99 Percent are all about finding solutions
And the 99 Percent are standing up... Cause we want a REVOLUTION
Come on and Join us!!! Come on and Join us!!!
There’s so much, we can discuss
There’s so much we can discuss
Come on and Join us!!! Come on and Join us!!!
No need to be in a Rush
BUT the REVOLUTION IS A MUST !!!

Sacred Spirits
It’s our Babies that have the Sacred Spirits
And we should hear it, everytime we’re near them
We have a Job to do, s don’t you Fear it
The path for them, we’re supposed to clear it
Each child has a Sacred Spirit
Their souls are singing, So I hope you hear them
Our job is not to Fear them,
But to make sure nothing Bad gets near them
Our Babies have sacred spirits, Our children have Sacred Spirits
Our Babies have sacred spirits, Our children have Sacred Spirits
Yo..Our elders and ancestors used to say
It was the babies we should worship EVERYDAY
It’s the children who were blessed, because they came back first
And Anyone who touched the children would be eternally cursed
Yo, the babies are the ancestors and closest to GOD
And OUR JOB was to keep their lives from being hard
And ONLY for our children, should we go to war
For, without them, we wouldn’t exist Anymore
But, Yo in this day and time, something has changed
And I’m looking at the world like everything’s Strange
I see our children getting abused, when they don’t behave
Molested and worked like a bunch of slaves
Tortured and killed almost everywhere
Used as weapons, by parents who really don’t care
The children are the future and the sincerest
Little gifts from THE UNIVERSE with sacred spirits
It’s our Babies that have the Sacred Spirits
And we should hear it, everytime we’re near them
We have a Job to do, s don’t you Fear it
The path for them, we’re supposed to clear it
Each child has a Sacred Spirit
Their souls are singing, So I hope you hear them
Our job is not to Fear them,
But to make sure nothing Bad gets near them
LOVE IS BORN, EVERYTHING ELSE IS TAUGHT
So why are the children getting bombed and shot
Is this how we teach em, by showing them hate?
Do we truly Educate or just indoctrinate?
A Clear glass of water is what the Universe sees
With Unlimited potential and infinite possibilities
Waiting to learn how to relate to others
Their eyes and their hearts don’t see races nor colors
But, we’re teaching them How to kill instead of heal
And we’re showing them how to act fake and not real
They watch us disrespect Nature and Humanity
And learn our Addictions, prejudices and insanities
Damn, they could co create a worlld that really works
If they weren’t getting tainted, miseducated and hurt
It’s like we’re driving the Yellow Bus, but don’t know how to steer it
Cause we’re the one’s guiding and directing thier little spirits
It’s our Babies that have the Sacred Spirits
And we should hear it, everytime we’re near them
We have a Job to do, s don’t you Fear it
The path for them, we’re supposed to clear it
Each child has a Sacred Spirit
Their souls are singing, So I hope you hear them
Our job is not to Fear them,
But to make sure nothing Bad gets near them
Is it The violence On T.V., the Movies and Games ?
The Wars and Greed, the bombs and planes ?
The Lack of Love we show others everyday ?
How we see The unfortunate and look the other way ?
The Drug Dependiencies, The Hypocrisy?
The Government Policies, Lack of Democracy ?
The fighting and bickering and telling each other lies
While our children see it, all through Virgin eyes
This is what makes our children grow up in a rush
And turn into mirror images of us
They Reflect our consciousness, or lack there of
They BECOME all of our hate, or MAGNIFY our Love
We are here to DIRECT them, RESPECT them, or PROTECT them
Not to NEGLECT them, SEX them or INFECT them
The World is a Song and they are the lyrics
For, the only Hope we have for WORLD PEACE can fbe found in their spirits...

BATTLEFIELD LOVE
It’s a battle ya’ll, almost everyday
Yet it seems like things ain’t goin our way
Sometimes I wanna give up, so I pray
God give me strength, that’s what I say
Tell me How do I cope in a world like this ?
Where the enlightened suffer and ignorance is bliss ?
You can see it financially, substancially
At Wall Street where the bankers be
We ALL need a bailout, am I a sellout
When FUCK A BLACK PRESIDENT is what I wanna yell out ?
Yea BARACK OBAMA you won once more
We gave you another four, but what about the poor ?
He’s Starting War After war, so everybody’s sore
Cause we thought Peace And Love was at his core
Family’s are suffering, Still losing thier homes
Innocent are still dying, while he buying more drones
And I see it and it hurts cause we’re all alone,
Cause every place on the planet is a war Zone
Hopelessness and despair is what people feel
But like that singer once said “LOVE IS A BATTLEFIELD”
It’s a battle ya’ll, almost everyday
Yet it seems like things ain’t goin our way
Sometimes I wanna give up, so I pray
God give me strength, that’s what I say
We gotta connect with nature, eat of the earth
But they genetically modifying everything in the dirt
We gotta stay alert, Which takes alot of work
Use our minds All the time, so we don’t get hurt
The reality that society is creating
Is a matrix where most are TOXIC and HATING
FROM GLOBAL WARMING, CLIMATE CHANGE and hurricanes
To mass incarceration and people living in chains
It’s kinda Strange, But I try not to complain
Just keep an umbrella, in case it rains
Invoke my inner-being, Illuminate the light
Percieve Abundance and hope it’ll be alright
It sounds much easier than it really is
I need a blue pill, in a world so negative
My legs are tired, but I continue to run uphill
With my heart in my hands, cause LOVE’S A BATTLEFIELD
It’s a battle ya’ll, almost everyday
Yet it seems like things ain’t goin our way
Sometimes I wanna give up, so I pray
God give me strength, that’s what I say
